Joe and Cler met through Cler's cousin, Lisa who married Dean in New Orleans January 2004. They met at their wedding and became friends through email over a few years. Joe and Cler became a couple and began dating in summer 2006. Joe followed with a 'made for movie' proposal in the Newark Airport on bended knee in his tuxedo. With the crowds applause, Cler and Joe were officially engaged December 22, 2007.
